Still, Apple promises to be ahead of competitors regardless of configurations - the 4-core version is up to 30% more powerful than rival solutions, while the 5-core variant would increase the advantage to a respectable 50%. This is the same strategy employed with the M1, which has different versions for the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, despite keeping the name. The GPU has also been updated and marks the first time Apple has made a performance separation between traditional models and Pro variants: while iPhone 13 and 13 Mini have a 4-core graphics chip, iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max will in addition to having 5 cores. The solution has 15 billion transistors and 6 cores, 2 high performance, and 4 low power redesigned to offer performance “up to 50% higher” compared to competitors. ![]() The iPhone 13 family is equipped with Apple’s new A15 Bionic chipset, which despite maintaining the 5nm manufacturing process, promises substantial performance improvements over the A14 Bionic.
